The owner’s story
From Apprentice To Owner
Sam’s journey began at just 14 years old when he started work experience at Grange Moor Garage one day per week. That progressed into additional workshop time before he undertook a Level 3 NVQ apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Repair & Maintenance under the guidance of founder Robert Gunn.
Following his apprenticeship, Sam successfully completed the Bosch Diagnostic Technician Programme before progressing to the prestigious Bosch Master Technician qualification — the highest Bosch awards. Further qualifications followed in hybrid and electric vehicle repair.
When Robert retired, Sam took over the business he’d grown up in — and continues to invest heavily in training, technology and workshop equipment so customers receive dealer-level expertise with independent garage service.

A long-standing member of the Grange Moor Garage team and widely regarded as part of the furniture. Paul specialises in mechanical repairs and brings decades of practical workshop experience to every job.

Apprentice Technician
The newest member of the team. Callum is developing his skills under the guidance of experienced technicians and is making excellent progress within the business.

Grange Moor Garage Founded
Robert Gunn establishes the business in the heart of Grange Moor.
2010
Sam Begins Work Experience
Aged 14, Sam starts one day a week alongside Robert.
2013
Apprenticeship Completion
Sam completes his Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Repair & Maintenance.
2015
Bosch Diagnostic Qualification
Sam graduates the Bosch Diagnostic Technician Programme.
